vfedoralinux

vfedoralinux was not possible. The shutdown procedures won't work okay with that OS on Virtual Box. Therefore, we will NOT be building that server. It follows, that the vredhatlinux server would have the same problem. So we will NOT be building an App server with that either.

App Meaning

The term "App", is short for "Application". It is a fancy way of referring to a specific type of program. At first, it was called programs. Then they came up with the term Application, to refer to specific types of programs. Then it became "all the hype" to refer to an Application by it's shorter name: App. But really App and Application refer to the same thing.

vweb

vweb is a virtual server running Mandriva Linux 2010.1. It is located on the physical machine main1. We had a problem installing software, so we tried to create softi, which didn't work. Therefore we solved it another way, just as we were about to give up. There was also a RAM problem but we kludged it to make it work okay for now. vweb is finished, imaged, and functional.

vwin98

We found it is not possible to create the vwin98 server. Or to run anything as a virtual server as far as Windows, that is older than Windows XP.

Why? Well, it is a driver issue. Within virtualbox, there is no driver that will let us use 256 bit color. Therefore, we cannot use VNC. Which means, we cannot access it remotely. Which means, no go as far as application server.
